360° Tour

Arriving in the Countryside.

The Sonnenhof Garden is a place of retreat. Lovingly designed, quietly situated, and full of little details that delight the heart.

You can taste what grows in the Zillertal right here at our place.

A real favorite spot? Our herb garden. Here, mint, lemon balm, rosemary, and many other herbs grow—lovingly tended by our hostess, Steffi, herself. In the summer, the air is filled with the scent of fresh herbs that later find their way into our kitchen.

Did you know?

All the herbs from our garden are used in our dishes. Whether in salads, hot dishes, tea blends, or summer drinks—whatever grows outside ends up on your plate.

Moments in Nature
Food just tastes better outdoors.

Whether on the terrace, in the garden, or in the lovingly designed summer cottage—everywhere around the Sonnenhof, you’ll find spots where you’ll simply want to linger.

Breakfast outdoors? We’d be happy to—upon request, we’ll set your table on our terrace, where you can enjoy the morning sun on your face and a view of the Zillertal. And on warm summer evenings, dinner can also be enjoyed outside as the mountains slowly fade into the twilight.

Afternoon coffee with homemade cake belongs outdoors anyway. Whether on the terrace or right in the garden—it just tastes better here.

A Piece of Sonnenhof
for your home

Our homemade products also come directly from this world of herbs:

And best of all: You can purchase many of these products in our little shop at the Sonnenhof and take a little piece of the Zillertal home with you.

Recipes with Mint

Mint goes well with a surprising number of things. For example, we use it for:

  • refreshing summer drinks like Hugo or homemade lemonade
  • mint tea made from fresh leaves
  • fruit salads with berries or melon
  • salads and light summer dishes
  • desserts like yogurt, ice cream, or cake
  • flavored water with lemon and mint

Fresh from the garden

Our tip:

A few fresh mint leaves, some elderflower syrup, Prosecco, and mineral water—and you’ve got yourself a classic Hugo, which tastes especially good on the patio or in the garden.

Or simply add mint to water—refreshing, natural, and perfect for warm summer days in the Zillertal.
