We invite car enthusiasts from all over Europe to join us in exploring the Zillertal’s most impressive mountain passes, most historic destinations, and most breathtaking mountain panoramas. Experience the perfect combination of nostalgic driving fun, authentic Tyrolean tradition, and first-class cuisine.

✓ Free Sonnenhof Specials: For all participants in Classic Car Week, the entire organization as well as all specials and program items at the Sonnenhof (e.g., welcome beer, welcome snack platter, live music evening, wine tasting) are completely free of charge!
✓ Additional costs: The package does not include any tolls (e.g., Schlegeis Alpine Road) or individual admission fees at the venues.
Program Overview
Classic Car Week
Arrival Day & Welcome Evening (Sunday, May 9, 2027)
✓ Arrival: A warm welcome to the Sonnenhof Vacation Hotel.
✓ Car Showcase: Display and presentation of the classic cars in front of the Sonnenhof—an immediate highlight for all car enthusiasts.
✓ Welcome & Briefing: Kick things off with a cold welcome beer (0.2 l). Detailed discussion of the upcoming days, routes, and stages.
Day 1: Renaissance Splendor & Culture of the Inn Valley
(Monday, May 10, 2027)
✓ Group Breakfast:
A healthy breakfast buffet on the Sonnenhof terrace.
✓ Daily Briefing:
Overview of the day’s route.
✓ Destination: Tratzberg Castle
The ride takes you through the Tyrolean Inn Valley between Stans and Jenbach to one of Austria’s most beautiful Renaissance castles. Built around 1500, the castle remains in the private ownership of the Goëss-Enzenberg family to this day.
Highlights: Original, preserved, and furnished state rooms, ornate wooden ceilings, and the impressive Habsburg Hall.
✓ Return trip & evening:
A relaxing end to the day at the hotel.
Day 2: High Mountains, Fisherman's Cabin & Zillertal Folk Music
(Tuesday, May 11, 2027)
✓ Start to the Day:
Welcome at the cozy summer cottage at the Sonnenhof with refreshments and a hearty snack platter. Brief overview of today’s tour.
✓ First Mountain Stage: Schlegeis Reservoir
In the early afternoon, drive up the spectacular, toll-road Schlegeis Alpine Road to an elevation of about 1,780 m above sea level.
Panorama: Turquoise-blue water, framed by majestic three-thousand-meter peaks and the gigantic, 131-meter-high dam. Ample parking directly at the dam.
✓ Stop at the Fischerhütte:
A leisurely, approximately 20-minute walk along the lakeshore leads to the Fischerhütte. Here you can enjoy fresh, locally caught fish specialties.
✓ Evening program:
A leisurely return trip to the Sonnenhof. The day comes to a delightful close with authentic Zillertal music performed by the Fankhauser house band.
Day 3: Tux Valley, Alpine Charm & Wine Tasting
(Wednesday, May 12, 2027)
✓ Breakfast:
A gourmet breakfast on the sun terrace.
✓ Trip to the Tux Valley: The Grieralm
Drive toward Tux to the Grieralm, a mountain hut at approximately 1,786 m above sea level. The hut is situated on a sun-drenched plateau. After a gentle 10-minute walk, you’ll reach the picturesque Almsee lake.
Authentic Tyrolean mountain hut cuisine: cheese and bacon dumpling soup, Tyrolean Gröstl, cheese spaetzle, traditional Brettljause with farmhouse bread, homemade cakes, Kaiserschmarrn, and apple strudel.
✓ Exclusive wine tasting:
After returning to the Sonnenhof, we’ll round out the day with a tasting of fine wines from the Wildauer family’s own vineyard.
Day 4: Panoramic Curves to Hochfügen
(Thursday, May 13, 2027)
✓ Breakfast:
Group breakfast on the Sonnenhof terrace with a view of the Zillertal mountains.
✓ Trip to the Aarwirt in Hochfügen:
A winding mountain road leads up to the upscale Hochfügen ski resort and the rustic Aarwirt. Ample free parking is available on site for all vehicles.
✓ Departure / Individual Wrap-Up:
Farewells and participants’ individual journeys home.
