Tobogganing, swimming, climbing

More to offer than just hike & bike in summer, and not just ski & snow in winter. Your leisure fun in the Zillertal Arena. Diverse, varied, sporty.

Adventure away from the slopes, hiking trails & bike trails

... what's there to experience? How about tobogganing on the summer toboggan run or on the snow-covered and floodlit winter toboggan run? Swimming in the refreshing Fichtensee lake or in the heated indoor pool? Climbing on the rocks or in the bouldering hall?

Whether summer or winter - in Zillertal you can easily try something new. Let yourself be inspired and trudge through the glistening deep snow on snowshoes in winter, go on an adventurous canyoning tour in a wetsuit in summer, see the valley from above while paragliding, enjoy nature while leisurely cross-country skiing or during a relaxing open-air yoga session in the warmer months.

Adventure, get set, go!

Our favorite activities away from the usual

Tobogganing fun

IN SUMMER:
Yes, you can also go tobogganing in summer. On the summer toboggan run. It's not only fun, but also gets the adrenaline pumping. And the best thing about it: the Arena Coaster is located right next to the valley station of the Rosenalmbahn - just a four-minute walk from the Sonnenhof!

IN WINTER:
No winter in the Zillertal without a hearty toboggan run with a stop at a mountain hut! The longest, floodlit toboggan run in the Zillertal - the Gerlosstein toboggan run - is an absolute must for ambitious tobogganists or the whole family.

Swimming

IN SUMMER:
Our outdoor pool at the hotel is great, no question about it. But sometimes you feel like doing something else, and there are excellent options for that too: a refreshing dip in the Fichtensee lake, right in the hiking area, for example. A fun afternoon in the swimming pool at the leisure park in Zell. Or an exciting trip to the outdoor pool in Fügen.

IN WINTER:
First port of call for swimming fun: our panoramic indoor pool with counter-current system. And for those who need a little more action, we recommend a trip to the Erlebnistherme in Fügen with its slide paradise, wave pool and much more.

There are virtually no limits to the fun you can have in the cool water.

Climbing

IN SUMMER:
Hanging out - we all like to do that sometimes. But it only gets exciting when you're hanging directly on the rock. There are plenty of opportunities for this: the Talbach via ferrata in Zell am Ziller with an entry area especially for beginners and children, the Riederklamm adventure climbing garden in Gerlos for the whole family and the Gerlossteinwand alpine via ferrata for ambitious hobby climbers.

IN WINTER:
You can also hang out well in the colder months. In the Zillertal climbing hall, you can try out whatever you feel like rope climbing and boldering.
