Sonnenhof Vineyard
A passion, a dream, a vineyard. And a unique wine collection.

The Sonnenhof
wine selection
For senior boss Hans, his love of wine did not begin with a sip, but with his passion for life and enjoyment. In 2006, he fulfilled a big dream: his own vineyard in beautiful Burgenland, with its own history, its own flair—and its own unique wine collection.
Hans shares his love of wine not only with his family, but also with his hotel guests. His hand-picked collection includes seven varietal wines with unique histories and aromas—ideal for tasting, enjoying, and taking home as a souvenir.
Cheers! Bottoms up!
The Sonnenhof vineyard in Burgenland
The Sonnenhof vineyard is located in a prime location in Burgenland, directly on the eastern shore of Lake Neusiedl. The area lies in the heart of the Pannonian climate zone and is characterized by very diverse soils. This climate is characterized by hot, dry summers with moderate rainfall and cold winters with little snow. An important factor for the microclimate is Lake Neusiedl, the largest steppe lake in Central Europe. The vines in the vineyards can store pure sunshine. The fully effective Pannonian climate, together with Lake Neusiedl as a temperature regulator, ensures a long growing season and a variety of great wines.
